A little introduction by K

More and more people around the world have grown to become SMM and that number will only keep growing in the years to come.

A SMM's main objective in life is to fulfill himself/herself entirely by using his/her right to Complete Freedom of Choice.

SMM are individuals that do what they want, when they want to and with whomever they want to; all in respect of others' Complete Freedom of Choice.

Change: No we can’t

The easy way out would be to say: ‘’He promised but he did not deliver’’. However, I don’t think it is that easy. I am no big fan of President B.O. but I do tend to be as fair and just as I can be. So if he is not the problem, why is it that we can’t change then? Let’s face it, this is not an unimportant question. A civilization that can not evolve is one that is willing (or at least bound) to die.

And this was the perfect time to change! With a major crisis on hands, we had a golden opportunity to say: ‘’Let’s throw a few things out the window’’. But what did we do? We blamed it all on the economy. Why? Because that is all we know how to do these days; all we believe in. We don’t have politicians anymore; we have managers. And at the end of the day, no matter what the question is, the answer is always the same: ‘’How much will it cost?’’

Ouch…

Yes, I heard you! How could I not? Who would not say ‘’ouch’’ to that profound, ugly truth? It does lead us to compromises which we probably thought we’d never even think of (at least not for our own children) and yet we go along with it… for much too long now.

For example: Universality of health care should not be a question: How to get it into the system should be. Some may think that what we have seen was a step in the right direction. Sure, a step is a step! However, if we were planning to cross the country, we didn’t even manage to make it to the next town on the map!

Again, don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t rooting for changes. Why? Because, when you are in the system and benefit from it, you’d be stupid to want to change something that works for you! But I am intelligent enough to understand (and bold enough to say it) that we need to change the system rapidly so that everyone can have the same access to healthcare. We are not talking about buying a new car here, or a house! If all humans don’t have the same basic right to live (or survive), why not close shop now?

This is just one of the injustices that we need to solve, the most important one being our birth rights. If we can not start life at the same place, what kind of justice is there on earth? But that is a much more complex question which will need to be talked upon by itself. What we need today, is to understand that we have to quickly agree on changing a few things so that we can actually see something happening. And that means we need to loosen up on the sacro-saint Constitution and give more power to the people we elect.

Hey, let’s face it, if we elect them, it’s because we trust them and we want them to do the things they promised. But right now, the system won’t let them do that. They come to the people with ideas on which upon they are elected (well, at least partially let’s hope!) and then, once in power, they can’t do anything. They can only keep the status quo and try to place new justices (how I hate this calling!) on the Supreme Court because it is these 9 individuals that decide our lives.

9 individuals. You think that is representative of society? Not to mention that they have been placed there by governments and that they have to somewhat represent their interest afterwards. Come on, wake up kids! This is not working and this is certainly not leading us to any change whatsoever.

Sure we can remain as we are today. We’ll go back up eventually, at least temporarily. But let’s not be blind enough to think that what happened to the Roman Empire of the Occident won’t happen to us.

Our kids don’t know how to write. We don’t produce anything anymore. We are so arrogant that we think that, what the forefathers wrote more than two hundred years ago, was so good, we shouldn’t touch it…ever!

Should I go on? We could talk about the strength of the unions which is killing our industry sector, the incapacity for any politicians today to come up with anything new that doesn’t come out first from the mouth of a member from one lobby group or another, not to mention the frustration of the President (I would call it more his incapacity) to actually change something (anything) in his country to help it become more competitive and give it a chance to grow and survive.

Yes, for America, it is about survival. But for individuals living in this country today, it is about living. It is about the capacity given to them to realize themselves. And I think that, given the chance, they would understand that some changes are needed, now, even if it means changing their lifestyle.

If you can’t adapt; you die. Let’s not sit there and wait for the country of liberty to die: Let’s change.
